Okra / Ladys finger seeds needs to be soaked in water for at least 12-18 hours so that they absorb the moisture before being sowed.
Ladys finger plants can grow in all types of soil but the soil should be fertilized well before planting them.
Sow the Ladys finger seeds at 1/2 inch deep in light soil and 1 inch deep in heavy soil;
Spacing for the Ladys finger plants should be 3 inches apart in rows 3 feet apart.
When the okra seeds planted have germinated and grown to 3 inches height , thin out the smaller okra seedlings and leave the strongest ones standing so that they will grow well.
